Our intake process involves an initial 45 minute consultation booked with the physiotherapist most closely aligned to your needs.
Your first session is likely to involve a combination of:
- A thorough assessment of your body (and may include postural alignment, range of movement, strength, balance and control)
- Goal setting
- And in most cases… movement!
Based on your movement background, current capacity and aspirations, you and your physiotherapist will co-create an inspiring program to get you moving.
In thoughtfully paced individual sessions (of 30 or 45 minute duration), your physiotherapist will closely supervise and facilitate as you learn the ropes, including the setup of any equipment, breath, movement choreography, dosage as well as any specific modifications.
From here you may choose to continue individual sessions or consider joining a group class once you and your physiotherapist feel you’re ready. Repetition is integral to learning so we recommend a minimum of four individual sessions before entering our group classes.
